Who We Are
His Daughters House is more than a nonprofit, we’re a community of survivors, healers, advocates, and everyday people who believe that safety, stability, and dignity should never be out of reach. Founded by two women who experienced homelessness and domestic violence firsthand, our organization was built from lived experience and led with heart.
We serve some of the most vulnerable populations in Southern California, including survivors of abuse, chronically unhoused individuals, veterans, foster youth, and those with untreated health conditions. Our team is made up of people who know the struggle intimately, many of our staff members were once clients themselves. Today, they are trained Community Health Workers, case managers, and mentors walking beside others on their path to healing.
We are proud to be one of the only organizations in our region that combines housing support, health coordination, and trauma recovery services under one roof. Through His Daughters House, His Daughters Health, and our soon-to-launch His Daughters Care, we are creating an ecosystem where people don’t just survive, they grow, lead, and thrive.
We believe in leading with love, showing up with compassion, and meeting people where they are.
What We Do
At His Daughters House, we walk alongside survivors of domestic violence, individuals experiencing homelessness, and those facing health and housing instability, helping them heal, rebuild, and thrive. We are a trauma-informed nonprofit that provides safe housing, personalized care coordination, and wraparound support under one roof.
Our services go far beyond temporary shelter. We offer long-term solutions through rapid rehousing, health navigation, life skills training, and our signature Domestic Violence Survivors Academy, a yearlong journey of empowerment, recovery, and leadership development. We are also a contracted Medi-Cal provider, offering Enhanced Care Management (ECM) and Community Supports, ensuring clients have access to medical care, behavioral health, and stability planning at every step.
What makes us truly unique is that many of our team members were once clients themselves. Today, they serve as Community Health Workers, leading by example, offering connection, and showing what’s possible. Volunteers are a vital part of this journey. Whether it’s helping at events, supporting children’s activities, or providing a warm meal, your time and heart help make healing happen.
When you volunteer with us, you’re not just giving back, you’re becoming part of someone’s restoration story.
